Best Coffee Shops in Barcelona

Jump to RecipeTwo coffees on a tray.

Last year was my first time traveling to Barcelona. I already knew I was going to love the food and culture. What I wasn’t expecting was how many amazing coffee shops there would be all around the city.

While traveling I would stop and get a coffee a couple of times a day to keep up my energy. I was also very jet-lagged so that was my excuse.

This is a list of my favorite coffee shops and a few that were recommended to me that I didn’t have the chance to stop at.

Nomad Coffee

Passatge Sert, 12, 08003 Barcelona, Spain

This was probably the best coffee I had the whole trip. The place was very small so it was great to pop in a grab a quick coffee. There are a few benches to sit down. To get to Nomad you have to go down this small alley. It is very cute and lined with plants. It was a fun little escape from the city.

Three Marks Coffee

C/ d'Ausiàs Marc, 151, 08013 Barcelona, Spain

This bright open cafe is right on the corner and has plenty of outside seating. It’s in a busy spot of the neighborhood, so it could be full depending on the time of day. This was close to where we were staying so we made this a regular pit stop.

Satan’s Coffee Corner

Carrer de l'Arc de Sant Ramon del Call, 11, 08002 Barcelona, Spain

If you are in the gothic quarter, this is the place to go. It’s hard to find a good coffee shop in the touristy areas, but just travel down a few side streets and you will find this place tucked into an old building.

SKYE Coffee Company

SKYE Coffee Co., Carrer de Pamplona, Barcelona, Spain

I did not have the pleasure to go to this coffee shop but it came highly recommended. It has multiple locations so you can stop by a few different places. There is one close by the Sagrada Familia if that is on your list of things to do.

Funky Bakers

Pg. del Born, 10, 08003 Barcelona, Spain

This is more of a bakery than a coffee shop but I had to add it to the list. If you are looking for coffee but also want to grab a small bite, definitely check out Funky Bakers. They have 3 locations, some have more food and other have just pastries. They have great coffee as well! I was there in the summer and their cold brew was much needed throughout the day.

There are probably plenty more coffee shops I am missing. If you have any other recommendations leave a comment below. I can’t wait to go back to Barcelona and explore more.
